Every project begins with listening. Discovery is about understanding your home, your priorities and the life you want it to support. Before ideas are explored, we take time to uncover what is said, what is meant, and often what hasn't yet been articulated.

Developing the spatial arrangement and overall design direction. This is where proportion, circulation, materials, finishes, lighting, furniture and the relationship between spaces begin to come together.

The developed design is presented for discussion and refinement. We review the proposed direction together, make any necessary adjustments and establish the design before moving into detailed development.

The approved design is taken into detail. Layouts, cabinetry, appliances, materials, finishes, furniture and technical considerations are resolved so that the design can be properly communicated and priced.

The design information is prepared for quotation and appropriate manufacturers, fabricators or specialist suppliers are identified. Quotations are obtained and reviewed, with StudioDeWynter helping you compare proposals, clarify differences and negotiate where appropriate.

Once a supplier or specialist has been appointed, StudioDeWynter coordinates the design information with the relevant parties and remains involved where required through delivery, helping to ensure that the finished result reflects the design intent.

Every project is different. Professional fees reflect the scope, complexity and level of design expertise required. From individual consultations and Design Audits to comprehensive architectural interiors commissions, each service is clearly defined and priced according to its requirements.
Fees are established with reference to the work involved, the level of design development required and the agreed deliverables. Before work begins, you will understand the scope of the service, what it includes and the associated fee.
StudioDeWynter provides independent design services. Products, furniture, materials, building work and specialist services are contracted and paid for separately, directly to the relevant suppliers or providers.

Whether you are considering changes to your home, reviewing a kitchen layout, struggling with a particular design decision or looking for direction before committing to a larger project, a consultation provides an opportunity to explore the possibilities and consider a more informed way forward.
The focus is on your priorities, the questions you need answered and the decisions you need to make. The consultation provides professional guidance and recommendations within the agreed time, without committing you to a wider design commission.
Design Audit
£750
A structured review of your home or proposed project, examining the existing arrangements, identifying opportunities and challenges, and establishing recommendations to inform the next stage.
An Audit takes a broader view than an individual consultation. It considers how spaces function, how they relate to one another and where improvements or alternative approaches could deliver a more considered overall result.
The findings provide a clearer understanding of the issues to address, the opportunities worth exploring and the priorities to consider before progressing. The scope of the review and its deliverables are agreed in advance, so you understand what the Audit will cover and what you will receive.
A Design Audit can also provide a valuable foundation for a subsequent design commission, should you decide to take the project further.
Professional fees reflect the expertise, responsibility and work required to deliver the agreed scope, not simply the number of drawings produced or the hours spent creating them.
